A few weeks ago, as I was walking home on a clear night, I spotted the ginormous moon! (Im not sure how anyone could've miss it). So while Fuzz was bbqing some delicious steaks I took my camera across the road to snap a few shots of the moon.
In dark situations a slow shutter speed is needed and therefore the camera needs to stay very steady. This is what tripods are for. I don't have one so the cement ridge of the post office parking lot had to do, and leaves shoved under the lens to get the angle. I think it worked out ok.
One of the great things about the town of Zurich is that on a clear night you can see stars even from in town! Being a country village there's not a lot of light pollution here. The last place my family lived you couldn't see many stars, except for one night during the blackout that knocked out power to the majority of the province. That was good times. I think it should happen more often.
I'd like the second one please.
ReplyDeleteMore blackouts! Yea! And also, neat pictures. I wish we could see the stars from here.
